Was recommended Don Berardi by a friend who had installed gas for him (my friends a maintenance officer so hopefully he should know a good tradesman) We wanted a bathroom refurbishment and gas installed, We had already called a few plumbers, a couple didn't show, another one didn't give a quote and another didn't even turn up when we agreed a start date, so it was quite refreshing, Don was very helpful with advice, he started when he said he would, it was reasonably priced, and the bathroom looks fantastic and he did his best to get finished in a reasonable time. Excellent job from Don. From the first day Don arrived to view the job right through to closing out the works, he was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Don was able to explain each and every detail in a precise and understandable manner and advised us on a number of items we could do differently to minimise cost yet still achieve the optimum result. I also have to complement the condition Don left our property when he had finished, exceptionally clean and tidy. Like all new installs into old properties there was some teething issues to resolve but the after service from Don was first class, always on hand to answer the phone and even called on a Sunday morning. If I could give Don more than 5 stars I would that’s how highly I rate Berardi Plumbing Solutions. Don is the epitome of professionalism. His knowledge and expertise is second to none, not to mention how reliable he is. He is always friendly, but courteous and is probably the tidiest tradesman around! He is honest and his work is very competitively priced. I first used Berardi Plumbing Solutions 4 years ago when Don installed my gas heating and have been recommending him ever since. I Recently thought my boiler had stopped working and called Don - after asking me a few questions he diagnosed the problem and my husband was able sort it out himself as it was a problem with the pay as you go box not my boiler! I know of Plumbers who would have accepted the job knowing what the problem was then charged me a call out fee plus the price to ‘fix’ it. I got my oil boiler replaced with Gas boiler. Don gave perfect advise right from the day he came to view the amount of work required to give me a quote. Out of 4 different installers, not only was his advise the best, the quote was cheapest too. The job was done within two days to a high standard. I bought a new house a few months ago that needed a completely new heating system, radiators in every room and new bathroom. Don called out to give me a quote, advise what work would be required and how long it would take to complete. He advised on choice of boiler and best location in house, where to put radiators and what size, etc. The existing bathroom was a separate toilet/bathroom and he advised to make these in to one to maximise space and gave suggestions for the layout. Excellent idea. Bathroom is fantastic. So pleased with the result. The job was messy as concrete floors downstairs had to be dug up but every night the house was left as clean and tidy as could possibly be. As I wasn’t living in the house at the time Don kept me updated throughout the whole process. All work was started and finished on time and to the agreed price. I contacted 6 different plumbers about a problem with my gas boiler and was told by pretty much all of them that they wouldn't touch it because of its age and make and that I should scrap it and get a new one installed. Next one I contacted was Berardi, and after a very brief chat with Don he said he'd a good idea what the problem was and he could fix it, he came next day and had it sorted in less than 20 mins!!!! I've now saved Berardi's number in my phone because quite frankly I won't be wasting any of my time in the future looking for plumbers when I need one, he might have been the 7th one I phoned on this occasion ( out of randomness) but he'll be the only one I'll use from now on even if it means waiting an extra day or two for his services. I happened to "stumble" across Don recently as we were contemplating the move from oil to gas. I had kept his name in my contacts from servicing our oil boiler a few years back. I emailed him for a quote when I discovered he was an approved Phoenix gas installer and he came back to me within 24 hours and a visit and quote was produced days later. We were happy with the quote and felt that penny pinching wasn't important rather a job well done. Don employs good customer service a vital component in the relationship with the contractor and we had a few queries along the way which he explained thoroughly. The job was started and finished on time and in agreement with his original quote. His workmanship was exemplary throughout and he went the extra mile when necessary. He knows how to communicate with his customers explaining things without jargon and technical speak and is genuine about your needs. I did contact Don based on review I got from my colleague. As we wanted to change and move our gas boiler from bathroom to different place.
