Jerome of Avon stone came out to quote for the repointing of a large stone wall that was in poor shape. He was excellent at communicating and advising on the work. For a builder to respond and be open to many queries and troubleshooting is refreshing and welcoming.
Jerome and his team turned up on time when they said they would. They Called prior if weather was not suitable so I was always aware of when they were working.
They were efficient and tidied up after their days work.
The work was completed in the deadline set, even with some poor conditions. And the results are excellent. The stone wall has been repointed to a high standard and looks top notch now. I am proud of my wall and they must be proud of their workmanship. Very decent people. I was losing respect for builders as so many don’t show up for the quote or just don’t respond, which is just unprofessional. But these guys are professional, efficient and human in the best way. Jerome and his team have done a great job repointing the side of our house. He's been easy to communicate with, and happy to work to the specifications we wanted. When an unexpected problem cropped up, he kept me informed and showed me what the issue was, then gave me regular updates whilst it was being rectified.
They have also been very considerate of our neighbour - as access to our side wall is in his garden. They've kept it tidy throughout.
