If I had known the way this company works I’d had done it myself, I would have caused less mess and controlled the situation way better than these lads. The methodolody explained on their website and T&Cs is in the best case incorrect, and in worst case just plain lies. I was expecting professional operatives wearing full PPE that would remove the textured coating of my ceiling with chemicals and scrapers, who would be covering all areas with plastic and disposable equipment, mostly due to the delicate nature of the job, which is dealing with harmful airbone asbestos. I was expecting all this because this is what is explained on the documentation that comes along with the quote. But then… Nigel and his colleague arrived home and straightaway started hammering the asbestos-containing drywall ceiling, none of the other walls and surfaces were properly covered other than the floor, and they weren’t wearing PPE other than a respiratory mask, they walked all the way through my kitchen with their working clothes, one of the lads in an outsdanting move even shoke the dust from his boots in the kitchen after finishing the job!! When I argued with the company I was told I had misread the T&Cs and that they carry out these works many times a month in the same conditions without any issues. My face was a poem. Now I understand why poor Nigel had a persistent and worrying cough. I am truly shocked by the poor performance of this company who left me with the worry of lots of airborne asbestos everywhere and no ceiling on the hallway, which now I have to pay to have build back!! Caused over £1300 worth of damage to our property during removal. This included 5 inches of flooring dug out, they said it would be an inch. I specifically said if it was more than that we’d look at encapsulation but they destroyed it all anyway. They didn’t remove some of it and had to call them back in, when they came for some reason they ripped off a plug socket from our wall when they moved a washing machine, and they ripped a fuse off the wall to our new boiler. They have gone all quiet now when I’ve questioned what the hell they did to it, so until they pay for the repair of our electrics which have cost over £100 I’ll be plastering photos and reviews all over the place. Do feel free to actually answer your emails and Facebook messages though. Not the undue stress I need 6 weeks before having a baby, and during a cost of living crisis. They also didn’t remove another 2 areas as quoted for due to stuff being in the way (the bath), fair enough, but The correct thing to Do would be to Readjust invoice becuase of this but they didn’t. SCAM.
Asbestos Gone visited my property to conduct an asbestos inspection. I paid the invoice but they failed to supply me with a report and never responded to any follow up emails or inquiries.
I'm talking about countless attempts. Hence, this was a complete and utter scam and I would not reccomend their service to anyone.
