Dave has been fantastic, he has been really flexible and he has come up with some great ideas, he gets back to you when he says and together with support from Gemma, Arkiplan offers a great service - would highly recommend and this was the 2nd time we have used Arkiplan

I'm not sure how I came across Arkiplan, but I am very pleased that I did
The service was excellent and at a very good price

I had a quote from a local architect of between £4k and £5k for drawing services and planning fee costs
The cost of Arkiplan for drawing services and planning fees came out around £2.7k
- and this also included a structural engineer fee

We dealt with Dave Chamberlain, who was very helpful throughout the process
He set up an initial Zoom call where we could elaborate our ideas for a kitchen extension
Dave took everything on board, and translated them into drawings

He then submitted the drawings to our local authority and progressed them through to planning approval
Subsequently, Dave submitted building control plans to our local authority and again progressed them to approval

During the process, we were alerted to an opportunity to use a building consultancy company, WeaverBuild
WeaverBuild offer to introduce selected building companies and then manage the process, for a fee
Initially there was the offer of a free service via Arkiplan, but we were directed straight away to the WeaverBuild platform
This didn't really work for us, as our extension is only a small project
- but for larger projects there may be the potential for WeaverBuild to add values

Overall we are very pleased with the service offered by Arkiplan:

It was a bit daunting at first, wondering how the process would pan out considering everything is done virtually but after you get over your initial suspicions and reservations it is a first class experience. The designer clearly grasped my ideas and requirements. When we ended the Zoom discussion I felt confident we were going in the right direction. I should also mention that the 3D photographer, who was our only physical contact, was extremely professional.

This is a process I would definitely use again. Whether building a new home, converting barns or extending a house my first port of call will be Arkiplan. That may sound cheesy but it has been an excellent experience. More...

What a superb company! Project and enquiries started with Gemma who was always very helpful and would respond quickly to any questions. It then moved to designer Crista. She and the team had to really work their magic to come up with a great plan. And they did!! Where my previous architect failed, Arkiplan has exceled. Finally, a person that had one of the most difficult parts was Nicky. She helped me to receive planning and building approvals in such a difficult circumstance.

Easy and professional process from start to finish. First rate communication all the way through the project, with our agent listening to what we wanted and acting accordingly.
The interactive plans are so easy to amend, making it very quick, efficient and accurate.
Reading the reviews beforehand it seemed too good to be true, but it really works so well.
They even give contacts for structural engineers, etc., and don't abandon you once their section is complete.

We were initially quite apprehensive about the whole design process after speaking to friends. We researched well and decided on Arkiplan based on the turnaround and service levels they were meeting. We were completely taken aback when Dave was very kind to spare his time, It goes to show that their leadership isn't out of touch with front line service delivery. I can't recommend Arkiplan highly enough, Nicki and Dave have been superstars getting our plans finalised.

We were very nitpicky clients and asked for a lot of corrections and changes, they did it all with a smile and turned the plans around very quickly.
