Our fluorescent under cupboard lights were not working properly. Andy was on time and suggested they be replaced with LED as fluorescent tubes would not be available after Jan 2024.
He was tidy and friendly. His charges are reasonable and I would definitely contact him again should I have an electrical problem in the future.

I highly recommend Andy. He's punctual, professional, tidy, and friendly, and his charges are very reasonable.
The 12v halogen under-cupboard lighting in our kitchen was failing and I wanted to replace it with LEDs.
I'd assumed some kind of strip lights would be involved, and that we might need to rewire to run on the mains. Andy gave me several choices for fixtures, and advised that it would be more economical to stay with the 12-volt system but replace the transformers. He was able to replace our existing fixtures with identical ones that were LEDs, making sure that I understood that when they wore out, the units would need replacing because the LED and fixture were integrated. I felt well-informed about making my choice.
During the course of the work, he discovered a fault in our rather tangled wiring layout, but didn't have time to diagnose and correct it. He's very busy, but took extra time to come back after a day's work and on the weekend to squeeze it in.

I was desperate for help with my wiring and feeling very low having been unlucky with a plumber just days before. Instead, a real gentleman! He came to see immediately and promised a return as soon as current job finished. Returning as soon as possible, he carried out the work to the highest standard possible and his fee was very reasonable. I am very grateful and I am sure that he has many satisfied customers. I spent a long time looking for an electrician to do some work in my mums, who has a lot of health problems including vascular dementia.
I am so pleased that I went with AMK, absolutely fantastic with mum, when he came to give a quote, he didn't ignore her and talk to, which so many do, despite mum being the client, he knew exactly what was needed, explained options, explained differences and costs, so that it was understandable and decisions could be made.
At no point did he try the hard sell, or try and influence the decision to the most expensive option.
The work was absolutely faultless, done within the difficult time constraints imposed since covid-19 and having carers in your home.
I'm very impressed, I would highly recommend AMK, as does my mum, who is so happy with her new lights and actually being able to see.
AMK is 5 stars all round, clean, tidy, polite, excellent workmanship, reasonably priced and very knowledgeable.

I get a great feeling after attending a job that was electrically unsafe and knowing my days work could of made a difference to a family's safety
What inspired you to start your own business?
I set up on my own after running multiple projects for leading electrical contractors and for them to show no appreciation for the hard work that I had put in.
