Laura from Alice's Adventures looked after Rexie, our
energetic young staffie mix, for a week this summer, along with our cat Kane. Both pets were happy and healthy when we returned home, as were we after a relaxing break knowing they were in safe hands. Laura sent us daily updates, lots of photos of Rexie out walking and playing, and we had a really useful debrief about how to handle some behavioural issues we had previously encountered. Highly recommended! More...

Q&As

Being able to create a bond with the dogs and getting to know every quirk in their personality.

I used to work as a dog walker with a friend before she moved to Australia and I missed walking with the dogs and how much fun it was, so I decided to start my own walking business. Its called Alices Adventures after my labrador Alice who inspires me every day as she is always happy and loving no matter what, and I can give some of this joy back then I'm happy and proud.

I am very flexible and will do everything I can to accommodate you. I pay very close attention to detail when walking, so I know where your dog is at all times, and if something happens, I tell you instantly and during them back in need be. If money is tight, then I'm happy to come to an arrangement to help you out. I spend time with each dog and get to know them all individually. I am reliable and will never miss a walk unless there is no other way, but I will never leave you hanging. I will try and get another walker to cover me or suggest other days I can do.

There is no way to do my job remotely. However, I take every precaution needed to keep everyone safe.

When collecting and dropping off the dogs, I wear disposable gloves, use my own leads and collars where possible and ofter rubbing them down with a towel; I always wash it after every walk. I also spray them with pet-safe disinfectant, and if I go into any houses, I wear a mask too, but I avoid it where I can, so I use a side gate if there's one there.

Services

A pack walk is a perfect way for your dog to get exercise as well as social interaction with other dogs.

On my group dog walks in Ascot and surrounding areas, the dogs will create bonds with other dogs and form friendships with them, getting them used to other dogs which they might not get to do if they are the only dog in the family.

The dogs will enjoy a variety of different locations across Ascot nearby areas where they can stretch their legs in, do some exploring and have a place to splash about in!

My pack dog walking sessions include pick-up and drop-off on the days that you require, making the service as convenient as possible for you, the owner.

An Initial meet is crucial for you and your dog as well as myself. It allows me to know if I will meet your dog needs during the dog walking and make sure we are the right fit.

As a professional dog walker, I will also observe their behaviour outside, get to know their basic commands from you and how to best handle them from the person who knows them best.

Subject to everything going well on the trial walk, you will get half the price off your first dog walk, whether you choose the pack walk or the individual walk.

The Individual dog walks are ideally suited for dogs in season or dogs who have medical issues that prevent them from a large expenditure of energy. You may also choose an individual dog walk if your dog is recovering from surgery or aren't very keen on their own kind.

Whatever the case is, solo walks are a great way for your dog to get the exercise they need and all of my attention during the walk. I love Individual walks as it allows me to really bond with the dog, getting to know their unique personality and letting them explore.

With my individual dog walking service, pick-up and drop-off are included, allowing you to get on with the rest of your day.

My Ascot dog daycare service includes walks, cuddles and playtime. Daycare is flexible completely to your needs and requirements. I will pick them up and drop them off to make it super convenient for you.

If you require a full day of care, I will collect them before the morning pack walk and drop them off at an agreed time later in the day. They will join me in my activities all day, from my pack walks to chilling at home.

I know how life can throw curve balls! This is why I offer a last-minute care service from a day to as long as needed. I can care for your dog till you can sort something more permanent until you are able to return.

Please contact me if you need emergency dog care in Ascot and around surrounding areas – we will discuss your requirements and work out a price and plan of action based on your needs. Click below to find out more about this service.

I also provide my dog walking services in Ascot over the weekend and operate with your best interests in mind. The pack walks over the weekend are half an hour longer.

This option is ideal for dog owners who work weekends but want to ensure that their pooch is receiving a good quality walk.

Over the weekends, work is a little more unpredictable, therefore if you require a dog walking service for your four-legged companions, please get in touch as early as possible to book your dog in and I will do my utmost to fit them in. The more warning, I have the more likely I am to have space in my dog walking groups and individual walk schedule, so there is no such thing as too prepared!

As with my weekday dog walking, pick-up and drop-off is included to make the service as convenient as possible.
