According to Plan ran my 60th birthday vintage tea party and took away all the stress of having to plan, buy, bake, decorate and run the event. All the details were covered and my friends and I all had a wonderful time concentrating on catching up and eating. One of them said they felt as if they had been at the Ritz! More...

According to Plan organised and ran my daughter’s 21st in Covent Garden, a party for 50 family and friends which they also catered. There is no higher accolade than the fact my daughter said at the end of the evening it was just as she had envisaged it to be, from the atmospheric decor, to the props, food, venue and fantastic service. The staff were friendly, peaceful and professional yet relaxed all evening and nothing requested seemed too much trouble for them, including quietly and subtly clearing up around some late staying guests! Paola and Elisa organised my 30th birthday brunch and it was the most amazing day ever - every detail taken care of, perfectly to my taste, and a few little surprises throughout the day as well. Elisa patiently offered lots of options for each detail (invites, flowers, decor, venues) and was always happy to offer more options if anything wasn’t absolutely perfect. She also very quickly picked up on my aesthetic and delivered an event perfectly curated for me. And of course, having them there at the event made everything absolutely seamless - would wholeheartedly recommend working with them! More...

Great at fielding calls and negotiating with venues whilst we were busy at work and had a good idea of plans and things that needed to be thought about for our wedding. I used According to Plan to decorate and stage my husbands 40th birthday party at a venue in Hammersmith. Paola and Elisa did a beautiful job, it was a Great Gatsby themed party and the decor looked amazing. Really pleased with how it turned out! The service leading up the event was flawless, Paola was super responsive and listened to my wants to come up with options and suggestions. According to Plan managed and catered for our silver wedding anniversary party for 110 people. They were great to work with and I was very confident that they would deliver exactly what I was asking for along with improvements that they suggested. They maintained good communication during the planning process and were quick to reply to my emails. Our evening went perfectly with a beautifully decorated hall and a fantastic 3 course meal. We began with canapés and fizz and finished with beautiful individual desserts. We had lots of compliments about the quality and taste of the main courses and their staff were polite and competent. I've had the privilege of attending a few events organised by Paola and her team at According to Plan and they've all been beautifully executed, down to every detail including handmade decor, food, entertainment etc. There's always been a calm atmosphere and I would trust Paola and her team to put on a fabulous event that runs smoothly taking all the stress off the host and guests. An excellent success all round, thank you for organising a memorable 40th anniversary celebration.
The décor and setup were professionally executed and personalised (hand decorated name card, bespoke vases, great choices of colours).
They thought about how little children will cope with this type of event (placing colouring books on their place setting), there was a crossword puzzle and quiz about the attendees and alumni of the organisation being celebrated.
Paola and Elisa greeted me personally (there were 200 other people).
The choice of wine and food were perfect and there was plenty to go around.
The invitation process and communication was excellent (clear, direct and timely). Thank you for an incredible celebration.
