What do you love most about your job?

Two things really.

The first.. I have 23 startups currently in my investment portfolio, all at various stages of their business lifecycle. And each day i'm in awe of the talents, resilience and value thats being created for our customers, partners, shareholders, not to mention the incredible employees each on a mission to put their own dent into the universe. If i'm able to play a very small part in all those journey's, i never then struggle to find a reason to get up and go to work each morning.

The second... I love joining the dots and fixing things. Businesses that are slightly more mature or even well established are always going through periods of change.. Some want to find more innovative ways to make more revenues or save more costs, take Covid-19 as the perfect example of disrupting the heart of ones business. It the individual uniqueness of the challenges and leaders and managers within these businesses that motivate me. How do we help those in charge and responsible be a better version of themselves whilst also acting in the best interest of the business and its customers..

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to be in control and i wanted to make the decisions and most of all i wanted to stop blaming my employers as an employee and take ultimate responsibility. To do that, you have to change your frame of reference, paradigm and ultimately put your money where you mouth is... making money and having the resources to maybe things that others couldn't was always secondary.. proving something to myself that i could has always been primary.
