What do you love most about your job?
I love that hard work pays off in the end. Growing vegetables and flowers isn’t an easy feat. They can be difficult and stubborn (just like kids and pets) but when they start blooming and growing, you can be proud of this accomplishment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Backyard Seedlings in February 2023 selling ready-to-plant seedlings. I decided to venture into Garden Consulting because I want to share my love of gardening with others. I love sitting in my garden, picking vegetables and admiring the flowers that I grew (it’s just so satisfying).

I believe that anyone can garden with a little bit of help. I will answer any questions, provide insights and ideas and want to get everyone excited about gardening!

Garden consultations and Designs/Plans can be provided remotely. All you need is a stable internet connection and a camera and microphone.
Consultation
Every new garden has to start with a site visit and consultation (we need to know what we’re working with). Design
We will create a blueprint to help you visualize your proposal. We will incorporate all the details- flowers, vegetables, herbs, etc. so that everything is optimized. Installation
After we get the green light from you we will start the build of your design. We will come to install your new garden and you can choose to add vegetable transplants and seeds from our greenhouse or go out and buy your own at a garden center.

Care and Coaching
Gardens do need to be taken care of and just a bit of expertise is needed to be successful. As intimidating as it can be, we are here to help. We will provide clear instructions on how to make your garden thrive with our coaching services.
$100/hour of one-on-one coaching + materials
(Price may vary depending on garden size and travel distance)
Full Garden Maintenance
Let us take care of your garden! We will make sure your garden is as healthy and productive as can be. All you need to do is just sit back and enjoy the harvest!
We will come weekly or every other week (you decide!) and provide all your garden needs: thinning, weeding, pruning, trellising, pest management, etc.
