Mediation
What is mediation and how does it work?
Mediation is a voluntary process in which a neutral third party called a mediator provides an opportunity for all parties to express and resolve issues that may be of concern to them.
Mediation requires all parties to enter into a dialogue with good faith and a true desire to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
The mediator is not permitted to not make decisions for the parties, and the parties may end the mediation at any time. The mediator assists the parties to communicate effectively and respectfully.
The process is extremely flexible and can cost significantly less than litigation as the parties typically share the cost of mediation.
The mediator holds an intake meeting with each party individually to access their issues and determine if mediation is a suitable and viable way to reach a resolution.
An Agreement to Mediate will be executed by both parties, and a retainer will be paid. The mediation process will commence shortly thereafter according to the parties’ availability.
Divorce Coaching
What is Divorce Coaching?
A divorce coach is a professional trained in coaching, that helps parties throughout the divorce process and beyond.
More specifically, divorce coaches train clients on how to deal with the dynamics of divorce.
There are several aspects to divorce such as: legal, emotional, financial, co-parenting and more. A divorce coach can help give you clarity when you need it most.
Divorce can be overwhelming and confusing, and a divorce coach can help break things down for you, so you are better able to deal with things as they come up and are able to make decisions on a clear mind.
Divorce coaching is not to be confused with counselling. If the divorce coach feels you need counselling throughout the process, they can refer you to the appropriate party for counselling.
A divorce coach does not provide legal advice either. Again, a divorce coach can direct you on how can help you deal with certain matters along the way.
Divorce coaching can be used in conjunction with other services such as litigation, mediation, etc.
Coaching is a new profession to the world of separation and divorce, and some people may not be familiar with the concept.
Divorce is not easy; it is extremely stressful and overwhelming, however, divorce coaching helps and many people are benefiting from this service.
Document Preparation
Absolute Dispute Resolution offers document preparation for separation agreements, joint and simple divorces.
Separation Agreements
Absolute Dispute Resolution helps the parties create a mutually beneficial Separation Agreement through the mediation process. Both parties are able to contribute equally to the agreement and only when both parties are satisfied, is the final agreement created.
For a Separation Agreement to be legally binding, it must be accompanied by a Certificate of Independent Legal Advice. The process is simple; both parties will have their lawyer review the agreement to ensure their legal rights are protected.
Basket Divorces
Basket divorces are uncontested divorces, meaning either both parties sign an Application for Divorce or one-party signs, and the other party is served with the document.
As long as the other party is not contesting, you qualify for a basket divorce.
This is the quickest and cheapest way to obtain a divorce.
Before proceeding with your divorce, you should ensure there are no outstanding issues relating to your separation.
If you need legal advice, you should consult with a family lawyer.

3. Pay the fees.

· Service of all documents (extra fee may apply for out of province service or service that requires multiple attempts);
· Documents filed with court;
· Unlimited access to our document specialist;
· Frequent updates as your matter progresses; and
· Assistance with obtaining a waiver for court fees
