I have found Rebecca to be one of the safest places/people to share myself with and allow myself to be truly vulnerable.
She is warm and attentive, wise and intelligent, always asking the right question at the right time that enables me to process, progress and understand myself more deeply each time.
I feel that she is always, engaged and right there with me wholeheartedly.
She has a natural way of putting you at ease that instantly makes you feel safe.
I truly love working with her and will always have her as a counsel in my life.
I highly recommend her services.

I had a hard few months in the last lockdown when my mental health kept going up and down and it felt very hard to motivate myself. I reached out for some support from this practice and was so happy with the outcome. I was not only connected with the right person suited to my needs, but the support I received from Jane was beyond amazing. Highly recommend

Hypnotherapy is one of the fastest ways to change thoughts, behaviours and feelings. Since hypnosis gives access to the unconscious mind it allows us to cut the time we spend in therapy dramatically. Use Hypnotherapy to reprogram your unconscious limiting beliefs and old patterns like money stories, victim mentality quit smoking or lose weight. We support and work with NDIS self managed or Plan Managed participants.

Counselling is simply put a conversation with a person who is trained to help you change. That is the way I approach each session. It is an opportunity for someone to be heard and through that they can start to heal. I deeply care about my clients and their ongoing wellbeing. The most amazing sight to see is the moment in every session when a look of relief washes over the client and they know for themselves that they are going to be ok.
I help people gain a deeper insight into what's happening to them at a particular point in their life. Some are recovering from past traumas or destructive relationships, others are working through depression or anxiety. Whatever it is, I help make sense of it by identifying the problem, clarifying goals, and encouraging behavioural change to create a stronger, healthier and happier you. I have a Master's degree in Applied Psychotherapy, with a thesis on Couples Therapy and a Bachelor Degree from Macquarie University. I gained experience as a Crisis Counsellor helping suicidal individuals visualise a future for themselves. Later, I worked with people griped by addictions and specialised in anxiety disorders when I began private practice. What I've learned is that there is no magic drug, positive affirmation, or secret advice that will make your troubles disappear overnight. Adult life is often complex and filled with dilemma's. Luckily, most of our problems can be solved by talking with someone with psychological insight.
I find it rewarding to see real improvement in the lives of my clients. Many feel hopeless when they first arrive and after a few short weeks you can start to see changes taking shape.
Therapists work most effectively in private practice. Its difficult for big institutions to personalise services. Working in private practice is the best way to help people get better.
Just like athletes or musicians who are born with an advantage, the same is true for therapist. Some people are better at it than others. I'm lucky to have been born with a natural curiosity which is necessary for effective therapy. A good therapist doesn't have the right answers, they have the right questions which identify patterns of behaviour that hinder someone's ability to form relationships, make sensible decisions, manage emotions or communicate effectively.
Yes, I provide phone therapy but I prefer to see clients face-to-face. Therapy seems to work more effectively that way.
During the pandemic I moved my office. But now that the pandemic is over adjustments are no longer necessary.
