What do you love most about your job?

As the founder of GM Group Services Security, I have a personal preference for taking on difficult challenges, surpassing expectations, and accomplishing what others deem impossible. This is the driving force behind my passion, which has remained unchanged even 20 years into my career in the Security Industry.

What inspired you to start your own business?

In my professional journey, I have earned tremendous recognition in both the corporate and security fields, including esteemed titles like Security Manager of the Year, Security Team of the Year, and various other highly regarded awards. Inspired by these accomplishments, I determined that it was the opportune moment to seize a new opportunity and found my own company – GM Group Services.

Drawing from my past achievements in various aspects of corporate work, including team management, recruitment, training, and project management, I realised that my extensive experience could be effectively applied to the security industry. My goal became to recruit, train, and provide highly skilled security officers to our clients, utilising my expertise to deliver exceptional services.

Early on in my career, upon completion of my security course, I swiftly found myself working in personal protection for renowned personalities like Danni Minogue, Virat Kohli, Adore Delano, Katy Perry, and others. These experiences taught me the importance of building a strong team and valuing the contributions of each individual, an ethos that I carry into the success of GM Group. Both our staff and clients are integral to our accomplishments, and fostering a collaborative environment is of paramount importance.

In fact, we have substantial experience in ensuring the security and safety of such events, with our security command center set up directly at the campsite.

First and foremost, we adhere to strict hygiene protocols. Our security officers are instructed to maintain proper hand hygiene, frequently washing their hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizers. We also provide our team members with necessary personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, whenever necessary.

Furthermore, we actively encourage our staff to stay home if they are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness. We understand the potential risks of a sick employee being in close contact with clients or customers, and we take proactive steps to prevent such situations from occurring.
