We saw Alex for our 2 year old Aussie shepherd to help with some problem behaviours. Alex was honest, patient and knowledgeable. He really took the time to help us understand everything. Our dog has made huge improvements! She’s much more relaxed and listens much better now, thanks x1000 to Alex’s help 🙏🏼

At Bondi Behaviourist, we aim to create a closer bond between you and your dog, and help rebuild any parts of the relationship that may have broken down. Unwanted behaviours from our dogs are mostly driven by stress, fear, anxiety or frustration. Emphasis should be put on understanding and meeting the mental health needs of our pet dogs. This can help not only in resolving issues but being proactive in preventing them.

Fiona is a very kind, professional and approachable person. She’s very reassuring and we never feel intimidated by her. She helped us training our little Frenchie Pumbaa. After our 3 sessions with her we have learned a lot, both Pumbaa and us (his PAWrents). We gained heaps of confidence and training Pumbaa is so much fun now. Worth the money! 😉
Thank you Fiona ❤️

Working with pets especially dogs has been our dream since me and my wife been together. After doing petsitting as a hobby and a part time job for 2 years, we have observed a lot of dog owners and dogs suffering from different problems. Then I decided to learn more about Canine psychology and training. Dogs these days are more likely to be bred as companions instead of working mates, which makes them confused with how to behave in the city environment.

Hugh was very knowledgeable and caring and our pup Mabel responded very well to him. As a first time dog owner I was a bit anxious not knowing what type of training Mabel needed at this stage. Hugh explained to me what’s essential in puppyhood and helped me understand the importance of my leadership role as a dog owner. The training session was fun and relaxed and I’ll definitely reach out again for future training tips! Highly recommend!

Myself and my dog 🐕🐾🐾 had the best training session we have had to date in our 2,5 years together. Grace is very knowledgeable, insightful and informative with a wonderful clear communication style, easy to understsbd instructions and follow through. We were able to practically address and work through mine and my dog’s issues in the house anc the car. I would thoroughly recommend Grace I really wish I had found her far sooner!

I started my career as a trainer back in 2016 working with horses and teaching small tricks before finding my passion in training dogs and their owners. I have trained hundreds of dogs of all different sizes, ages and breeds, working on basic obedience, competitive obedience, tricks, desensitisation, socialisation, reactivity, dog aggression and human aggression. I have also assisted in the training and assessing of National Dog Training Federation students during their practical blocks, and regularly attend seminars to continue to expand my knowledge and techniques.

Very professional, on time. Patient. Skilled. Kind. Dogs respond well.
Taught me (a non dog owner) how to train and understand my son's dog. He was loose lead walking and obeying recall when out which made my life so much easier and enjoyable. I'm 67
She taught me skills that I used daily with him.
A pleasure to recommend

Jenny is amazing and efficient with our GSP puppy Tilly. She has a great knowledge of dogs and is so calm when training our puppy. After every session I feel huge improvement in Tilly and it is easier for me to keep doing what Jenny taught our puppy Tilly. Jenny is happy to consult any issue over the phone. She gave me some very simple tips about positive reinforcement. I can’t recommend her strongly enough. Looking forward to the next session. Lenka, Manly
The method I am following is unique and there is only a handful of people in Australia who are qualified to teach it. It is based on the latest research in neuroscience, it utilises play and muscle memory, it simulates real life experiences without putting the dog in front of their triggers before they are ready to cope with them and it employs the best learning strategies to ensure maximum efficiency in real life situations. Each game has been created to build on a different skill to help the dog make decisions for themselves that we would prefer them to make. It is not simply rewarding preferred behaviours with food or toys, it simulates real life and challenges dogs mentally to choose behaviours that are suitable for whichever situation life throws at them. Games also create experiences around simple rewards and strengthen their connection with their guardians. Your dog will never choose you over a chase with his friends simply because you have a piece of yummy chicken in your hands but the incredibly fun memories you created around coming back to you in advance will be the reason why he will ignore the chase and check out the fun he can have with you instead. My utmost priority is to reach as many dogs and dog parents as possible to eradicate misinformation about dog behaviour which is more prevalent now than ever thanks to social media. Please feel free to read the behaviour related blogs available on my website and keep in mind, behaviour is a science, not an opinion, so the information you will find there is factual. Your dogs, your friends’ dogs and your neighbours’ dogs need you to spread the word of how behaviour is only communication and that suppressing communication doesn’t fix the underlying emotion or need that is being communicated. Drop a line if you would like to find out more =)
Helping dogs and dog parents navigate behavioral struggles and making sure dog parents know they’re not alone in this journey.
My own dog’s trauma led me to retrain. All my qualifications can be found in my links.
As a qualified dog trainer, behavior consultant (PPGA member), I specialize in aggression, trauma response, anxiety and reactivity, and mainly work with working dogs, staffies and herding breeds.
I follow a unique training method to build skills instead of individual behaviors. These skills include disengagement, Optimism, proximity, self control, confidence, focus, flexibility (of the brain), independence, calmness and more. These skills have a major role in the behaviors we would like them to have a happy and social life.
Whether it is to set your puppy up for success or to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for your dog’s behaviour struggles, I am here to help :)
Yes, online or remote training is a major part of my business. I have been teaching dog behaviour online for years now and getting brilliant results and feedback.
