Promoting bugicide. Texas style. Chalk paint on plastic.
An odd assortment of floor chalks & random paintings.
A painted 36" semicircle that didn't turn out like I had envisioned, but it does make me laugh.
A Copic marker portrait for my friend on 11"x14" Canson marker paper.
I had the unbelievable privilege of being the chalkboard artist for Jameson Whiskey's Bartender's Ball on November 4th. What an amazing experience. I'll add more photos later.
Part of a recent refrub on a massive chalkboard above a produce rack. I'm very proud to be a native Texan & I hope that shows in this piece.

Whole Trade Peaches
A 40"x 32" painted foamcore panel.
Nutritional Department Chalkboards
My first attempt at drawing with Prismacolors on painted board. I really liked the classic, almost antique look of these portraits. I used liquid chalk on the verbiage boards. Even though they're placed pretty high above line of sight, a lot of people notice them & stare.
A new kind of super hero. One who teaches you about the nutrition in fruit.
Halibut Butcher Paper
A fun project involving butcher paper, markers, paint pens & a halibut.
La Dolce Vita
3 ladies I adore very much.
A portrait of a very good dog.
Various projects at work. I never know what the day will bring.
John Mackey Portrait
A Prismacolor portrait of WFM's founding father.
A marker sketch for a good friend.
A promotional board extolling the virtues & tastes of my dear friend, Basil the cheese buyer.
Excelsior Hotel in Jefferson, Texas
A beautiful hotel built in the 1850's.
Portraits: Still my favorite means of self expression.
I've been drawing portraits (well, portraits that actually look like real people) for about 30 years. I never tire of trying to render the perfect expression or the subtle shadow that truly defines a person's face. Its so empowering to show someone how beautiful they really are.
The Silent Salesmen
Assorted signs from the store.
A detail of a larger painted board.
A very detailed menu, painted directly on the wall.
This is a taxing time of year for me. Seasonal chalkboards, illustrations, graphic designs & even painting on the floor. All this keeps me busy from Halloween right up until Valentine's Day. Sometimes It seems like I do some of my best work when I have the least amount of time though.
