I am an experienced microbiology laboratory assistant.
I recently worked as a Traffic Control Supervisor
March 2011 - August 2011
This work involved setting up worksites, traffic management and pedestrian management. Being a supervisor meant I was also responsible for the other traffic controllers on the worksites. This role carried a lot of responsibility; it involved working as part of a team and having the ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner to ensure the safety of both the workers on the site and the public.

July 2010 - October 2010
Robinvale, PO Box 3549.
During this time I undertook my regional work in VIC. This work involved pruning table grape vines which prepared the vines for the following years harvest I enjoyed this experience and it proved to be a personal challenge as it involved living in a remote area and participating in work that I had never done before.
senior lab assistant
October 2008 - May 2010
I started in microchem as a laboratory assistant based in the food microbiology laboratory. Here I was given full training on the testing of food samples for pathogens and after 5 months I was promoted to senior lab assistant. My duties involved intake, the preparation of samples, incubation, logging results and customer service. This work was very technical in nature and involved working under extreme pressure and performing well in stressful situations. I also worked on reception and in the office; this work required me to take important phone calls and to undertake filing and data entry tasks. After another 5 months when my training was completed I was promoted to Analyst 1. This was a more intense role which provided me with further training throughout the lab. I also spent time in the media lab where the work required precision, concentration and the ability to work using your own initiate.
assistant store manager
New look fashions
June 2004 - October 2008
I started in New look fashions as a sales assistant. My duties were managing and ordering stock, handling purchases and daily interaction with customers, making sure they are being assisted at all time. After 6 months I was promoted to assistant store manager. I was trusted with a bit more responsibility in this role. I had to manage my fellow staff, ensure all goals were being met, assign weekly rotas and open and close store. I really enjoyed my time at New look as I have a keen flare for fashion and found my job very rewarding.
