Work History

Elect. Design Engineer

Cypress Semiconductor

From July 2011

Elect. Design Engg.

Cypress Semiconductor

July 2011 - July 2011

- Worked on fullchip level mixed mode simulations of NVSRAM chip. Tasks carried out: Fullchip DC path, ISB, functionality simulations, block level functionality simulations.

- Currently working on the design of the digital blocks used on Async SRAM.

Junior Project Assistant

Indian Institutes of Technology

April 2008 - January 2010

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

July 2008 - June 2011

Completed MS by Research in the VLSI domain.

MS Project was aimed at design and development of low-cost, portable ultrasonography system. Out of various blocks under development, I had worked on development of following three blocks:
- High speed coherent averaging block: It acquires 1024 data frames, each consisting of 1000 samples (14 bits per sample) and gives averaged data
output. Post P&R operating frequency on Spartan-3E (XC3S250E-s4FT256) FPGA: 205 MHz.
- Efficient MQ decoder block for JPEG2000 image compression system: It decodes the arithmetically compressed data from input compressed bit stream and context values. It avoids hardware overhead using parallel
renormalizer module. Post P&R operating frequency on Virtex-2 (XC2V6000-6FF1152) FPGA: 142 MHz.
- Data visualization interface: It displays running spectrogram of audio data, on LCD, from CW Doppler ultrasound system and can transfer acquired data to the mobile phone using Bluetooth link. System is based around Microblaze softcore processor, and it is implemented on Virtex2P FPGA development board (XUPV2P).

Junior Project Assistant

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

April 2008 - January 2010

I am working on research project entitled "Non-invasive blood glucose measuring system" under Dr. (Prof) Swapna Banerjee of E&ECE Dept. My work is related to system development and FPGA based digital part of the system.
