Aard Mining Equipment is OEM specialize in designing and manufacturing Earth Moving Machining for the underground mining application. I was responsible for the complete design of Utility vehicle with 18 Ton axle (platforms, scissor lift, concrete mixer, tipping unit, lubrication vehicle) capacity which includes:
-Complete design of the hydraulic circuit of the machines using VISIO.
-Complete design of the electrical circuit of the machines.
-Complete design of the chassis of the vehicle with Proengineer.
-Complete design of the drive-train of the vehicle.
-Approval and verification of production drawings for manufacture.
-Making that the Design is compatible with the client specification and the mines regulation regarding the underground vehicle.
-Liaise with client regarding the performance the vehicle.

-To complete FEA on new trailers or tankers design with Proengineer.
-Calculation of the different design parameters of these vehicles.
-Checking and approving drawings of those vehicles.
-To ensure conformity of the design with road vehicle regulations and with our customers requirements as well.

-To complete the design calculation of Cylinders.
-To generate production drawings of cylinder for manufacture with Proengineer Wildfire 5.0.

S.A. Truck Bodies

S.A. Truck Bodies is an organisation focused in designing and manufacturing light-weight trailer. In this organisation my role as a trainee was:
-To design of new trailer dropside and flat deck within Proengineer.
-To generate production drawings for manufacture with Proengineer.
-To ensure conformity of the drawings to the product vice-versa.
-To develop an Intelligent model dropside and Flat deck to facilitate proposals to clients and new design of new trailer taking into consideration all the design parameters of a trailer with Proengineer.
Design and development of a 10 cubic meter of a rigid tipper.
The purpose of this project was to develop an ultra light 10 cubic meter rigid tipper with a carrying capacity between 15-22 Tons. All the calculations were conducted, safety factors defined, FEA of the structure completed. At the end, a 10 cubic meter rigid tipper was manufactured and completed presented at Nampo Show in 2008. More than one project of this kind was developed at the time but not presented in this platform since they have been classified highly confidential.
Design of An Extra Low Profile Dozer.
The raison of the design of Extra Low Profile Dozer was to develop a remote-controlled mining equipment capable to move or remove 50 ton per hour of mineral such equipment will be promoting safety and productivity of operation underground . A complete design was achieved on top of which a thermal analysis of the airflow inside the Dozer was completed in order to evaluate the current cooling and ventilation performance. Proposal of improvement and recommendation were done in order to have a better product in future. More than one project of this kind was developed at the time but not presented in this platform since they have been classified highly confidential.
Design of a Extra Low Profile Dozer at Aard Mining Equipment.
The purpose of this project was to develop a remote-controlled underground mining equipment capable of pushing 50 ton of material an hour. A complete hydraulic circuit, electrical circuit and data pack was achieved at the completion of this project. A CFD analysis of this prototype was completed in order to predict the cooling and ventilation perfomance with airflow inside the hood. The result obtained was very informative for future development.
