Dr Nwizugbe Ezenwa has been practicing as a community development specialist in the field of program monitoring, evaluation and research for over 10 years. He is presently serving as the Senior M&E Advisor with TSHIP. Before now, he served as the National consultant with UNICEF Enugu (BNA project), M&E consultant for Save the Children (OVC project), Senior Research and Evaluation Associate with IPAS/Nigeria, Senior M&E Advisor with FHI/ Nigeria and Country Program Manager with the Centre for Development and Population Activities, Nigeria. Before joining the NGO sector, he worked as a Principal Statistician with the National Population Commission, and Research Executive with Research and Marketing Services Ltd.; thus having experience with stakeholders from all sectors of the society. He has worked in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

• He has managed several projects funded by USAID, Packard & McArthur Foundations. He designed the M&E component of the Bauchi State HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan (2010-2015), and the National Ambulance and Emergency Transport Service (for the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Nigeria, 2011). Ezenwa is proficient in designing monitoring and evaluation models and frameworks.

Participated in the tool design and oversight of a household based control trail on the impact of Patent Medicine Vendors (PMV) in the choice of healthcare system of the Nigerian households, in the care of children ailments such as Diarrhoea, Malaria and cough with difficulty in breading.

Utilised process evaluation approach and both qualitative and quantitative study methodologies, in order to examine the adherence to ART regimes by pregnant women. It was based on clients' case review. Two cohorts of pregnant women were followed up from conception to delivery to determine their ability to adhere strictly to ART drugs and find out the status of their children at birth and after 6 months. It was also meant to determine the effectiveness of ART in pregnancy for PMTCT.
