There was never a pivotal moment for why I chose graphic design as a major. I love drawing and mostly combining art and technology to communicate ideas. What I mostly like about graphic design is being able to express myself creatively with the added challenge of meeting the clients' needs.
My inspiration comes from other designs, comic advertisements, cartoons, music, books, magazines, and pretty much everything around me. I believe that everyone has a special and unique touch in his design; Therefore, I admire the work of many designers such as Jordi Labanda with his marvelous illustrations, Andy Worhole for his pop art designs, Paul Rand for corporate logo designs, and David Carson for typo magazine design.
During my work experience as a graphic designer at Mondanite magazine, I learned that team work is a key to success. In addition, I realized the importance of criticism and its role in enhancing my performance. Meeting deadlines despite pressure was really challenging and helped me to be more punctual.
Away from graphic design, I don’t see myself very far because I like drawing, sketching and everything that is hand crafted. I believe that a person doesn’t have to be great to start, but has to start to be great; Hence, great success is self acceptance and believing in yourself.
I think that what makes me a good graphic designer is that I work with passion, and although I have a distinct style, I'm able to work in a wide variety of mediums for different audiences.
