I had the privilege of being appointed as a National Examiner for Office Practice
I had also Moderated Gauteng and Free State Colleges
I was part of a team that was responsible for a Bursary Policy and having the privilege of serving under this committee.
I was also elected to be part of a committee selected to merge the five Campuses to form one College - Ekurhuleni East COllege.
This was my first Project that I 'm proud of, because I left this project with a healthy balance. The school borrowed me only R20 000 to start a business, teaching our Commerce learners the practical side of running a business, with limited resources.
1. They had to understand the importance of Budgeting
2. The Demand and Supply analysis
3. Challenges of running a Business with others
4. How to improvise during periods of less Demand / Supply
5. Dealing with pilfering / Shortages as I had paired them in groups of four.
( Two would open the business at 06:30 prepare lunch for learners another two
Will come a period before break to make sure that everything is in order & take.
Stock after the end of their lessons)
NB Their understanding of Economic Forces the role played by Demand & Supply was amazing, compared to my previous groups.
