HR Administration:
Compiling and preparation of monthly HR report, ie. Manpower stats, Training report and stats, Employment Equity, Disciplinary Tracking for the month, Recruitment, Overtime, Transfers, Absenteeism, etc.
Drawing up information packs & employment contracts for new employees
Typing minutes and letters relative to HR issues
Leave admin, which is inclusive of annual, study, family / compassionate, sick, overtime, sports leave
Administration of employee benefits (provident / pension fund, medical aid, etc)
Ensure maintenance of employee files
Be fully involved in all Adhoc HR projects
Co-coordinating completion of IOD, maternity and UIF paperwork and claims submissions
Co-coordinating submission of “The Best” articles and photo’s

Recruitment & Selection:
Creating job descriptions & capture information on a central database (Neptune, Pnet, BestJobs, Career Junction)
Arranging interviews, Interviewing & shortlisting candidates
Conduct reference checks on shortlisted candidates
Ensure all positions are advertised internally as well as externally
Select & build relationships with reliable & suitable recruitment agencies who are preferred suppliers
Advice new employees on remuneration, benefits, medical aid, pension / provident fund, travel allowance, shift allowance, etc
Induction and orientation of all new starters, take them on a tour, ensure forms are filled in correctly
Manage the internet recruitment website, process all applications & responses to adverts up
