Summary:

• Circuit identification on P&ID’s for pressure test and prepare test package.
• Preparation and review of Hydro and Pneumatic test packages.
• Review Various revisions of P & ID’s and Field inspect all lines with plant operations and finalize isolation and blinding requirements.
• Inspect lines in accordance with P&ID and Isometric drawing.
• Issue punch list as per P&ID, Isometric drawing, Support drawings, NDT requirements and follow up and approve test packages.
• To conduct Hydro test and Pneumatic test as per standard procedure.
• To witness draining and airblowing of the lines after the test.
• To co-ordinate walkthrough with the client for the final inspection of the line.
• Inspection of controtracing for the pipeline before insulation
• Final Inspection of steam trace tubings before insulation.
• Inspection of fit-up, Weld Visual etc for conformance to WPS requirements, dimension, orientation of pipe spools of different materials like CS, SS ,Alloy steel, LTCS etc..
• Co-ordinate with NDT agencies to carry out NDT (RT,MT,PT,UT) at site and shop without delay and monitor and prepare/ review inspection reports
• Preparation of repair procedure and attend weld repairs if any and give instructions for the welder to carry out the repair properly.
• Monitor PWHT and hardness testing as per requirement.
• Attend internal meetings and meetings with client to study the progress of construction activities and its schedule to plan QC activities accordingly.
• Checking whether electrode is used as per correct WPS number and also making sure that the Specified electrodes baking is maintained.
• Inspection of finished welds for defects, reinforcement, deformity, etc.
• Monitoring post weld heat treatment requirements.
• Checking whether electrode is used for correct WPS number (line class) and also making sure that the Specified electrode is maintained throughout.
• Inspection of all welding activities which include material check qualification, welding equipment..etc
