BaaN ERP Activities-

 Preparation of P-BOM; Routing; and Maintain Item data of Products / Components as per the requirement of Production.

 Designed & developed the “Load Control System” which has helped in effective Utilization of Available Machines for capacity planning which ultimately help in CAPEX.
 Designed & developed the Software “Manpower Calculation through BaaN” which has helped in Calculating Exact requirement of Manpower (Skill-Wise)

 Formulated the plan for Raw material (Diamonds + Colour stones) procurement by shorting down the procurement lead time (from 18-20 days to 8-10 days) with minimum inventory.
 Allocate a dedicated workforce from the available ones for incoming QC checks and issuing of the materials to production floor.
 Reduced the administrative work by standardizing processes by working with SAP Admin.
 Standardize the plan of action of materials procurement by showing them the flow of work & defined the authority, responsibility & communication points of each one.

 To learn the concept of Diamond Cutting (from raw goods to Final finished goods) of whole factory.


 Opened a new unit called TDC (Training and Development Center) in Rosy blue, in which I have done…
i. An Installation and Commissioning of new Diamond Cutting machines. (which includes traditional as well as modernize Lesser cutting machines)
- Selected the best machine from productive and cost point of view so as the benefit the company. (The idea behind is to have small span of “return on investments”)
- Made available the standard working set of operations (made the Manual for Diamonds) by formulating the plan of actions, studying the working pattern (by doing the time and motion study of operators).
- Increases the skills of the operators by giving them a systematic and proper training.
- Certified the workers as a skilled within 3 months from the recruitment date instead of 1.5 – 2 years which were previously required.
- Increase the production (output) of the dept. by 30-35 % by keeping the resources almost constant.
- Initiate Multitask Operation Theory for the low or non value adding workers.
