Administration Assistant


From September 2013

I have completed a Level 2 Business Admin Apprenticeship with. HAIL is an exempt charity that works in London Boroughs their mission is to work with adults with a learning disability and autism to lead their own lives. The apprenticeship allowed me to work and study together, this was a paid position.

Role and Responsibilities:

•Front of house so I am the first point of contact to visitors, customers and colleagues. This involves dealing with angry and aggressive customers.
•Taking all incoming telephone calls and making outgoing calls to customers, colleagues and companies maintaining a courteous and professional.
•Minuting meetings both internal and external e.g. staff meetings, committee meetings, grievances. Producing minutes for future meetings and reference.
•Being part of HAIL’s recruitment procedure, inviting shortlisted candidates to interviews, confirming by letter outcomes of interviews and pursuing references in line with HAIL’s recruitment procedure.
•Working along finance to assist invoicing of customers and companies
•Receipting all incoming monies, counting and processing information and banking monies.

I took part in a seven week work placement at a school catering for children with special needs.

Role and Responsibilities:
•Working in the central office
•First point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors
•Communicating with parents, pupils and staff either verbally, by phone and in writing.

Swimming Teacher

Volunteering as a swimming assistant and swimming teacher achieving Level 1 Teaching Qualification in 2012. Permanent swimming teacher, working with adults and children with learning disabilities and a variety of needs. Producing tailored swimming programmes to support the customer’s needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare lessons for each pupil on a weekly basis.
• Write an end of term report
• Teach each pupil in line with the ASA Level Scheme.
• Ensure each pupil makes progress each term.
• Make each lesson productive and fun.
• Work with parents and colleagues to ensure the best service is delivered.
• Communicate with different people such as; pupils, parents, manager, colleagues.


Minute Taker

On many occasions I have been the minute taker at various meetings such as Staff Meetings, Manager Meetings and External Meetings.
