Covering letter

Subject: Principle Security Consultant

I, Nigel Cooper possess 32 years within the arenas of military, commercial and civil, in information security, IT service delivery, project management, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, backup, archive, encryption culminating as “The Principle Security Consultant to NATO ”.

I have been referred to as a visionary amongst NATO higher achy. The list of my sub skills is far too long to list here and would draw away from the impact of a short statement. A significant element of my skills is my ability to communicate in plain English, and to understand a person’s interpretation of English.

I have more than 10 years experience in the delivery of different operating systems, different hardware configurations to large arenas, designing “sand-pit” connections for unmanaged devices and DMZ work areas for those managed that are out of trusted domain. The projects I have worked on include but are not limited to:

UK – NHSnpfIT covering every hospital and medical outpost in the UK. 608 million pounds
Ernst & Young global IDS replacement. 120 million pounds
I am the designer and architect of NATO’s boundary protection system that has been quoted as “World Class”.

I spent 5 years assisting the predecessor the project design of Microsoft’s Lync formally known as the office communicator or MSN communicator re-writing the communication architecture plan. The product was also designed to run on different security domains – (students, teachers, admin, technical staff).

For seven years I was the principle consultant to NATO in a data communications security project that covered 27 countries on three continents through 12 time zones all connected via a central managed SOC designed, built and installed under my guidance, my instruction, my teaching and supervision in NATO.
