❑ Successful execution of 10th Anniversary Celebrations regionally. (April 2012 - October 2012). This involved the establishment and leading of a 10th Anniversary Committee to coordinate and facilitate the activities, which included a poetry competition, 10th Anniversary emblem competition, creation of a "Torch," (commemorative book, in which all employees were afforded an opportunity to enter their best wishes to the bank on its anniversary), a Walk for the Cure for Cancer, fashioned on CIBC's annual walk, but with our Anniversary slant, and other local activities.
❑ Relaunch of CIBC FirstCaribbean Anniversary (Years of Service) Programme (August 2012). This was effected based on feedback from our employees and as an aspect of the alignment of policies and programmes to those of CIBC. It involved the development of a website, establishment of anniversary awards through the development of a catalogue, preparation of relevant communications and the facilitation and hosting of information sessions.
❑ Successful conduct of internal Human Resource Policies Audit (2010 - 2011). This involved a review of our current policies to determine currency and effectiveness in the establishment of our culture and ensuring compliance both within the internal and external environments. I conducted secondary research (established labour laws and pending legislations throughout the region) as well as engaging the Human Resource Business Partners to determine their concerns and issues within the respective countries for which they have responsibility. Redrafting of current policies and the development of new policies to ensure "best in class" standards...

Helpful Partner Project (Customer Service Transformation)

November 2006 - November 2007

As Employee Experience Lead, I was the subject matter expert on all employee issues, and provided support to any initiative through modification of policy or dissemination of information to the entire employee body.
Lead on the Resourcing project which implemented psychometric testing for our main customer service positions within the Bank.
Achievements in this Role
Engineered a psychometric testing approach for the major customer service roles in the organization.
Coordinated and conducted specialized Employee Experience information sessions based on the newly established standards.

Human Resources and Chief Executive Officer

Employee Discount Card

for FirstCaribbean employees in the region. (2005) This involved liaising with various departments to ensure all the internal requisites were in place, preparing presentations to the Executive Director, Human Resources and Chief Executive Officer in order to gain approval for the initiative; soliciting merchants for participation in the initiative.

❑ Successful Managing of the Employee Reward and Recognition Programme (2005). After the first year of its introduction, we were not satisfied with the level of awareness of the programme as evidenced by the low level of winners. I had the mandate to increase the number of winners by at least 50%. For the fiscal year 2005, the number of winners exceeded the number for the total number last fiscal by over 100%.
❑ Developed and disseminated the FirstCaribbean Code of Discipline, Health and Safety Policy and the Organization Design Framework. (2005) This involved conducting extensive research and engaging senior leadership and the country heads from across the regions and the respective unions before the roll out. It was challenging to prepare a document that had to be relevant and implemental in the countries across the region.
❑ Successfully led the "Indicating Your Interest to Leave" team through a successful internal audit. (2004) It was the one of the only five audits which received a "Satisfactory" rating for the year.

❑ Successful Delivery of the Share Gift to all employees who their employment into FirstCaribbean International Bank across the then 15 countries. (2002) This involved liaising with internal and external legal counsel and consulting firms on the legality of offering the share gift in the 15 territories of FirstCaribbean; preparing all communications relating to the Share Gift; liaising with external suppliers on the supply of materials (envelopes, letterheads); managing the preparation and dissemination of the personalized packages to 3100 employees across the region within one month of the First legal day of operation of FirstCaribbean
❑ Successfully worked with the business to achieve effective Organization Design objectives. This involved confirmation of role profiles, (content and grading); development of interview questions, screening of applicants.

Acting as a subject matter expert

West Indies and Barclays

in the region was officially announced and in addition to the above I was involved in the following activities:
❑ Coordinating and preparing information to be used in the due diligence process
❑ Acting as a subject matter expert for the Human Resource Transition team (part of the larger Integration team established to facilitate the merger) on Compensation and Benefits issues in general and then later the Share schemes and Executive compensation in particular. This involved analyzing data from the main database as well as external sources to allow for the development of a harmonized position for FirstCaribbean International Bank
❑ Managing the Resourcing process for FirstCaribbean International Bank for the then 15 territories on a functional basis across the region including the grading of role profiles and giving support to the line on job alignment.
❑ Managing the process of relocating CIBC employees to Barbados to work on the integration team. This involved, creating a work group leader package which included template standard offer letters, terms and conditions for long term and short term employees from both Canada and the region, issuing offer letters to the employees, liaising with Canada to confirm process and settle issues.

❑ Managed expatriates for the CIBC Regional Office.
❑ Human Resource Lead for the organizational redesign of a regional department. This resulted in a major regional recruitment drive including the creation of new structures, roles profiles, job grading, screening and interviewing applicants. All associated communications were also part of the project including the creation of a bank of interview questions and associated scoring system for use by the interview panels.

❑ The Establishment of Focus 2000 (name of the Employee Commitment survey) committees across the region to address the problems facing the respective territories. The objective was for each committee to deliver a comprehensive report to the President and CEO outlining the major issues and recommendations.
❑ Development and management of the regional Tuition Assistance and Talent Scout Programmes (1998 - 1999).

Handling all International Labour Office (ILO) matters
❑ Creation of the first Labour Digest - Design and creation of the first National Labour Digest which provided information on the major factors affecting labour in Barbados. This Digest has been updated and reproduced in each year subsequent to its development in 1997.
