Contractor- Consultant Power electronics. Diagnostics, rectification and test of Power Electronics, Processor control systems as propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary modules, Thyristor, GTO and IGBT converters/ inverters and VS drives up to 5MW for railway and mining industry from ABB, Bombardier, Siemens, Control Techniques, Lenze. Also repair and test of Vehicle Control Units, Intelligent Driver Displays, Digital and analogue input/ output PCB’s for Queensland Rail and Red Light Cameras for Queensland police. Also development of prototypes and various testing features.

Bombardier- Contractor-Wiring modifications, installation and testing of ATP (Automatic Train Protection) and AWS (Automatic Warning System) systems on ICE train.

• Endeavour/ Xplorer Diesel Multiple Unit Railcars. ADtranz Diesel- hydraulic system
• Involvement with project was as a Service Engineer on site for safety related modification program on 44 vehicles.

Project: Queensland Rail, Brisbane (March 2001 – Dec.2005)

• Delivery of 4 Inter Urban Multiple Units (Airport train), Bombardier Transportation Sweden
AC-propulsion system to Queensland Rail. Warranty support of vehicles.
• Vehicles are 25kV AC-propulsion, IGBT technology, 68000 microprocessor control,
custom control software. Auxiliary systems included Passenger service systems and video systems.
• Involvement with project was as Service Engineer for all 4 vehicles.

Queensland Rail, Brisbane (Feb. 1999 –Dec. 2005)

• Delivery of 30 Suburban Multiple Units, Adtranz Sweden AC-propulsion system to
Queensland Rail. Warranty support of vehicles.
