Maritz - Business Coach & Life Coach - Johannesburg, GP, South Africa

Nia Maritz

Johannesburg, GP, South Africa

Summary

Building Motivated Corporate Cultures and Individuals.

We understand companies invest vast amounts in their people and we also understand that as an individual you trained to be a specialist in your field. We recognise that you did not necessarily sign up to be a manager, thought leader, self-marketer or even salesperson. In recent times it has, however, become imperative to engage with customers in order to beat the competition.

Nia is an experienced and qualified Life Coach to help individuals facilitate positive change. She has been doing business development, mentoring and recruitment for more than a decade from directors’ level and middle management, commercial and technical staff – locally and internationally.

She is a Talent and Retention Lead with emphasis on behavioural development, with an extensive understanding of Talent Development and Mentoring. She has been helping individuals world-wide to recognize and discover their own intellectual contributions, a sense of purpose and how to bring about engaging and positive performance reviews.

She has developed a process called Natural Aptitude Planning by analysing data and statistics and recognising behavioural patterns in individuals. This is a unique technique which she applies to mentoring and recruiting processes and is the theme of her e-book, published in 2009, called “Know Your Worth”.

Mentoring
Build a successful mentoring strategy, program and platform for mentoring rounded professional development of individuals and the making of good career choices, irrespective of Golder as the Employer.
The foundation for Mentoring in Golder Associates Africa is based on The Results Coaching System™ that is neuroscience-based, process-focused, and outcome driven. This approach is ideal for mentoring rational, business focused professionals and draws from contemporary neuroscience, along with research taken from areas such as positive psychology, adult learning theory, systems and change theories. Mentoring in Africa is based on 5 principles: self-directed learning, Solutions, Positive feedback, Stretching an individual and structure.
Mentoring can be done successfully by facilitating positive change with improved thinking. The mentoring process works at the level of improving every mentee’s underpinned thinking which helps people through identifying bottlenecks, or areas they struggle to move past, generating insights, enabling actions and finally generating positive and sustainable realistic new habits and behaviour.
