Planning on doing some planning...

A lot of business are quiet during the summer "holiday" season - you know, that period between Christmas and the end of January. Personally, I love working during this time of year. It's one of the only times where the phone seems less determined to interupt me mid-task and I get to really work on the business, rather than just in it...

So, in the lead up to the "silly season", we are setting aside some time, to plan what we will do during the post Christmas lull. That's right, we are planning our planning.

What are your goals for the next calendar year? When do you set your goals and ambitions for work? Do you have a strategic plan and then a tactical one that helps you achieve the former? Do you specifically set them out at a particular time each year or just plan them in your head while lying by the pool over the summer break?
