Over twenty years experience in the ready mixed concrete, mortar and screed industry, starting out as a batcher on a concrete plant with Hanson Aggregates, working my way up to Project manager on the M6 Toll Road, then becoming Area Operations Manager. after thirteen succesful years at Hanson i was then head hunted by Tarmac to become Area Operations manager there, and after another succesful five years with the company where we achieved best operational costs for the business in the UK, i was then head hunted again this time by Marshalls to become a Business manager for their mortar division, this role incorporated all sales/commercial, operational and transport management. I was then asked to take on the role of National Operations Manager where i looked after ten plants from Falkirk down to Kent. By the time i left the company they had gone from four plants to eleven and the business achieved Investors in People accreditation and BSI 14001 accreditation at several sites. I am now Head of Sales at McCrory Engineering, a company who specialise in the manufacture, supply and erection of concrete batching plants and all associated components. The company is one of the best in the business in it's field.
