Roles and Responsibilities
• Scheduling production activities according to customer's order.
• Allocating jobs to workers.
• Maintenance of Pipe extruder machines, Pulverizers, Grinders.
• Maintenance of LLDPE extruders, pulverizers, Rotomolding machines.
• Ensuring good quality of the PVC (Polyvinyl chloride)pipe and LLDPE water tank.
• Purchasing raw material.
• Inventory management, Fixing price for PVC pipes and LLDPE water tanks.

Process Improvements carried out
• Installation of Automated Socketing machines to reduce labour and improve productivity.
• Installation of Silos for storing huge quantity of raw materials.

New products introduced
• New Three layer water tank is introduced to protect the tank from Ultra-violet sunrays and to keep the water from heating.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Planning involved prioritizing jobs which has to be done the next day, allocating jobs to each
engineer in the department and providing them labours to carry out their allocated jobs.
• Maintenance involved ensuring proper working of two bells which controls the entry of raw
material into the blast furnace.


Hydraulic cylinder liner puller

A device was designed to remove the cylinder liner from the engine without causing damage to the inner walls of the cylinder

Effect of machining parameters while turning of duplex S31803 stainless steel

Objective was to find the effect of machining parameters such as cutting speed and depth of cut while machining Duplex stainless steel. Optimal parameters were found out for the minimum cutting force generated and minimum surface roughness. Contribution of factors and their interaction was also found out.

Garden irrigation system

The objective of this project is to design and implement an Automated Garden Irrigation System(AGIS) which detects the moisture content in soil and maintains the soil moisture as desired by the plants in the garden.

Speed breaker indicator system

In this design the main aim is to detect the obstacle/breaker on the roads. To accomplish this Infra Red light is transmitted from IR transmitter continuously. When the emitted light hits the obstacle it gets reflected which is sent to voltage comparator to amplify the received signal. This reflected light will be detected by the IR receiver which glows the LED.

Stochastic erosive wear simulation

Objective of this project is to simulate the erosive wear phenomenon by using Probabilistic FEA method in ANSYS/LSDYNA software and to validate these results by comparing it with Deterministic FEA results and experimental results. In this project Alumina particles were impacted on Mild steel and its erosion behaviour was studied. Nearly 100 Alumina particles was modeled in ANSYS for simulation. Parameters such as Particle velocity, Particle size and impact angles were varied and corresponding erosive wear rate was obtained. Monte carlo method was used to take into account the uncertainties of the input parameters such as Particle velocity and Particle size. And Latin hypercube sampling technique was used to avoid repetition of the same sample.
