The purpose of the Light speed Program is to implement a new fiber Network at SBC that provides high bandwidth in which ATT can sell new innovative and compelling products. Project Light Speed will deliver of the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Enhanced Broadband and Switched Video Services to the Consumer Market through deployment of fiber to the Service Area Interface (SAI) in the neighborhood. The fiber will terminate to a DSLAM. The DSLAM will connect to the (F2) copper pair which ultimately terminates at the Customer's premise. The movement of the DSLAM into the neighborhood significantly expands the capacity of the pair to the residence, to the point where the three products can be provided simultaneously to the home.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Understanding the requirements.
• Deriving the test cases from functional specification.
• Reviewing the Test cases.
• Executing test cases.
• Logging defects using Quality center.
• Interaction with Development team for defect resolution and retest.
• Defect tracking and reporting.
• Retesting the fixes.
• Regression testing.
• Peer review of test cases.
• Checking logs and request/response xmls in unix boxes.

TCP is a planning portal used for planning jobs in the core and access part of the network. The planning can be both proactive and reactive in nature. It allows planners to build job packs electronically so that customer orders can be fulfilled faster by field engineers, contractors or new site developers. It encourages a standard process across Network Design and Implementation's planning community.

There are 4 components associated.

ETBH: A Set of components used to deliver the Ethernet Back Haul program (Wholesale)

TCP: A TCP introduces portal screen single point of access to planning systems together with workflow
control of the planning process (Openreach)

21CN: 21st Century Network Components (Wholesale)

FTTC: Fibre To The Cabinet.
This project has various aspects like WFMT OR, FTTC and FTTP which are used by a BT Planner for Physical planning.

OCM: Stands for operate capacity management, this solution provided a way to automatically calculate the required by date and base on the calculated date resource capacity was booked.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Participation in design review calls to base line the requirements.
• Writing Test cases based on the issued documents.
• Checking logs, request/response xmls in Unix boxes.
• Executing the Test cases, validating both front end and back end changes by running SQL queries.
• Conducting Component System Testing (CST).
• Conducting Component Integration Testing (CIT).
• Reporting and maintaining the Defect reports using Quality center.
• Interaction with Development team for defect resolution and retest.
• Supporting IVVT teams- issue solving.
• Conducting various show tell session to clients/E2E teams.
• Just started working in QTP for automating the regression suite.

Description: DBOR is AT&T's target information service platform. It supports both application services and data services. It is a multi-tier and component-based platform, which has Enterprise Data Bus (EDB) tier, ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tier, Business Objects (BO) tier, and Database (DB) tier. EDB is a main DBOR tier that deals with real time (transactional) information services. An EDB service is a real-time, transactional data or process integration service.
An EDB service can handle business process integration such that a client application can send a request to EDB and EDB kicks off a series of actions to interact with multiple back-end applications. DBOR is a logical database that houses enterprise data that is clean, consistent, up-to-date, with minimal redundancy. ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) is one of the major and main tools in DBOR environment that integrates all the data from different sources.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Performed System Tester role as part of EDB Testing.
• Creation of Test plan's for EDB Application.
• Analysing and creating test data for the application requirements thru SQL queries.
• Executing Test plan's for EDB application through Web service methods.
• Analysing the background logic of EDB websevice methods through SQL query.
• Communicating with clients for getting the requirements.
• Providing support to the clients during the production.
• Creating defects logs for EDB issues.
• Checking logs and request/responses in unix boxes.
