Wandsworth High St
During the summer of 2012 and 2013 I worked as a play assistant at a summer play scheme which ran for 4 weeks. My responsibilities were to ensure the health and safety of all children using the scheme and ensuring they were registered. Also to assist the co-ordinator with the delivery of the programme of activities.
I previously worked voluntarily in my auntie's small fashion and clothing shop, which helped me develop my skills, and understanding of customer service and how to treat and deal with all type of customers. Whilst working here I also learnt about buying and selling and dealing with finances. I enjoyed working there very much as fashion is and has always been one of my biggest passions.
Interests and other acknowledgements:
I have a main passion for music; I have been playing the piano for 10 years. Now I pass on my talent by teaching other young people to play. I also further my skills by composing my own music. In addition, I enjoy travelling, fashion, reading, cooking and baking.
On 25th April 2012 I took part in the UK World Skills Competition, though this challenge I learnt to work calmly and effectively under pressure. I learnt how important teamwork and communication is whilst working with other people. The experience also taught me to act professional and interact with other bands and make them feel welcome as the first heat was held at my college.
I have recently participated in administrative work with an up and coming magazine called 'JusJah Magazine' I was presented with different tasks such as finding distributers around London; it was also my role to handle the emails and printing and photocopying anything if needed.
