Relationships are important to every person. Nobody can think of living in isolation. Everybody wants a mother, father, brother, sister, uncle, auntie & a partner to survive in this cruel world. Whenever I think of living alone in this planet, the very thought of it , gives me jitters. Why? It’s simple because I know, I can’t survive on this planet where cruelty, sin & wrong doings are rampant. I need my relationships around because they can protect me, love me, guide me , scold me and will mould me according to the situations.

Though ,we say we have many relationships, but how strong they are ?. Relationships have lost their value in today’s world. We no more respect our relations. We no more visit our relatives ,as we don’t have time, thus our relations with them are getting weak. Alas! We can’t change it , this is what we say often. Our jobs are very demanding, moreover our relatives are envious from our success and our big fat packages. These are certain lame excuses we generally narrate when our parents often ask us ,why we don’t visit our uncles and aunties anymore?. We have changed , I have changed. Ask yourself? even you have changed. This is not anybody’s fault. All of us are somewhere busy in making our ends meet in this overly expensive country.

When I was young my mother told me beautiful stories of her joint family. I wondered how it felt living in a house where around 10-12 people lived together. This can be far from reality in today’s household. What will we teach to our children ?. How will be imbibe in our children the importance of relationships? ,when we ourselves are moving away from our values, cultures & traditions.

Our relationships are failing and somewhere we are responsible for it. Look around , there are many instances of failed marriages, stranded relations with family &friends. Divorce has become a very common household word. Our tolerance level has deteriorated, our egos have taken control of our relationships. We are not ready to bow down for the survival of our relationships. What is adjustment? We simply don’t know. We can’t change ourselves for our relationships to work.

What good can happen? Ask yourself ,do you really care about your relations?. If yes, then you are one of the lucky individual’s who still holds a value for each relation in your life and you will not die as a loner on this planet. There will be many people who will love you for loving them.
