Practicing in the full scope of practice under CNO regulations as a RPN. Providing patient care and executing doctor's orders with critical thinking. Administering medication under rights of Medication Administration to assigned patients. Provide routine observation and assistance with ADL's where needed. Advocating for patient and patient families when required. Keep patient rights and safety in mind while delivering the best possible care for patient. Patient teaching with new medication or procedures to follow upon for duration of stay and upon discharge. Responsible for colostomy bags, Picc lines, Central Lines, Oxygen therapy, wound care and transfusions when needed.

• Transcribe physician orders appropriately based on level of priority

• Answer telephone and relay messages, making phone calls as necessary
• Help nursing staff coordinate patient education, transfers and follow up under direct supervision
• Update policies, procedures, forms and protocols as directed by Nursing Policy and Procedure
