From April 2011

I started at Patisserie Valerie in September as a waitress. During this time I gained vital and exceptional customer service skills. Within 7 months I was promoted to Duty manager. My duties were to manage staff to ensure smooth running of daily service. I also had the responsibility of helping with checking stock levels and stock ordering. I was then promoted again to Assistant manager in October 2011. I had more responsibility within this role such as weekly paperwork, hiring new staff and scheduling the weekly rota. In June 2012 I was promoted again to Store Manager in which I am solely responsible for the running of the store.



From August 2010

2 weeks temporary
I was chosen to carry out a two week temporary position to analyse data for the annual distribution of the medical equipment for hire. I had the opportunity for an extended temporary contract. I was unable to accept as I was returning to Leeds.

I designed and carried out my own investigation into the physiological effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation when applied to acupuncture points. When I had collected and analysed the data I wrote an 8,000 word dissertation on my findings.

Volunteer work in South Africa

I was one of 15 chosen to volunteer for 3 weeks in South Africa to help increase awareness of endangered creatures.
