I have been a project manager at AfriGIS for past 5 years responsible for all support clients within the company. I currently manage 54 projects spread across our entire client base with key focus on Mobile, Geographic Information Systems and web support and development. I am responsible for the monthly invoicing of between R900,000 to R1,500,000 per month.

• Management of various development teams which primarily consist of software developers, quality assurance testers, call centre agents, IT support personnel
• Management of 3rd party vendors.
• I deal extensively with all major network operators and have a keen understanding of WASP services and WASPA Code of Conduct.
• Contract renewals and SLA’s.

I am currently in the process of completing my PMP qualification through PM Ideas.

An up and coming London based law firm specialising in the sale and purchase of commercial and residential
property, commercial and employment law and the buying and selling of private businesses and companies. This
was a multifunctional role where I acted as PA to the Senior Partner and Secretary to the Senior Conveyancing
Solicitor. As I became more familiar with the legal procedures, my position took on the role of an assistant to the
Senior Solicitor. Below is a basic outline of the experience gained during my time at Clegg Manuel Solicitors:

• Dealing directly with clients - arranging payment of deposits and answering queries in the absence of the
Senior Solicitor and Partner
• The typing of all correspondence to both solicitors and clients, preparation of client reports and all related
documentation
• Opening of new files (hardcopy and on the computer system (Microsoft Access)) and preparation of introductory correspondence
• Correctly archiving of files (according to company policy) and ensuring that no outstanding monies or unresolved matters were outstanding prior to archiving
• Archiving of Deeds according to Law Society requirements and company policy
• Invoicing of clients
• Issuing of company cheques (client and office account)
• Dealing with agents, mortgagees and insurance brokers
• Exchange of contracts and completion correspondence and documentation
• Arranging Land Registry searches, surveys and reports and ensuring Inland Revenue and Companies
House requirements were met
• Basic preparation of Wills
• Testing new legal computer packages/services and assisting with the maintenance and day to day running of the network and peripherals and updating of company templates
• Arranging meetings and travel on behalf of the Senior Partner
• Typing of all of the Senior Partner's and Senior Solicitor's correspondence (dictation)

I left South Africa on the 21st May 2001 for London. During the following few months I took on a few temporary
assignments and it was during this time that I had the opportunity to work on a temporary basis for Clegg Manuel.
Having developed a good working relationship with both the Senior Partner and Fee Earner and showing a keen
interest in law, they offered me a permanent position in November 2001 despite the fact that I had no relevant
legal experience.


02/2001 to 04/2001 Steiner Hygiene Services Personal Assistant

I contracted to Steiner Hygiene for a period of 3 months acting as the Personal Assistant to the Regional Manager for the Kwa-Zulu Natal region. A highly pressurised, fast moving environment where I performed the following
tasks:

• Typing of all correspondence
• Liaising with the regions' Branch Managers on behalf of the Regional Manager
• Completion of all sale/progress reports for the region utilised by the company's Head Office for monitoring and reporting purposes. This involved collecting the information from the Branch Managers, collating the information, preparing and submitting reports to Head Office adhering to strict deadlines
• Ordering of stationery and computer peripherals, issuing of purchase requisitions numbers for all branch
purchases
• Travel arrangements for the region (i.e. booking flights, cars, hotels etc.)
• Reception, cleaning and security staff reported directly to me
• Petty cash (R5,000 float)

Main duties at Blue Ribbon included:

• Compiling and updating of various reports, schedules and management graphs from the weekly profit and loss schedule and monthly management accounts.
• Compiling of management incentives based on departmental performance which I calculated monthly using the management accounts.
• Assisted the Human Resources Manager in all personnel matters. Main duties included typing of confidential
