I have worked in Harvester and Holiday Inn so I have gained experience working in restaurants waitressing, I work well with customers and have great communication skills, I am friendly, laid back and a good listener, I have worked in busy and hectic situations and over come many problems that have been thrown my way once I am shown how to work the till and the table numbers and menu I will feel comfortable enough to get stuck right in.
In Voodoo I work as a hostess and barmaid, the role of my job is
Voodoo Lounge Southampton
September 2012 - May 2013
to try and sell bottles of champagne and/or spirits to the customers that want the VIP treatment, this means opening and serving their champagne, always making sure if they are happy and if there is anything else they need.
I have plenty of experience in working in busy and pressurising environments, plenty of experience in dealing with drunk customers which has improved my communication skills with drunk people and how to handle a situation when they get a little out of hand or need to be looked after due to drinking to much.
I also have experience in cash handling, how to work the tills and PDQs.
hostess and barmaid
Your Eyes Only Southampton
June 2012 - September 2012
I was only there for a short period of time due to feeling uncomfortable in the uniform and having a bad experience with one of the customers, in this short time I managed to improve my sales skills by up selling on drinks, improving my bar skills when I worked on the bar.
Working in a strip club I have seen the way men have looked at and treat the dancers and it has helped me become more aware of how men can get, this is one of the reasons why I left.
My cash handling has improved and so has my PDQ skills.
January 2012-Present- Sport Solent Coaching
I help the University out some times going into primary schools around Southampton and coaching them different sports for an hour a week, with this my skills of dealing with children has improved and I have been able to adapt my behaviour, tone of voice and teaching schools to work with any school or child I work with.
I coach in main stream and disabled schools so I have the experience and some knowledge of working with different types of physiological and psychological abilities.
Amesbury Archer Harvester
April 2010 - September 2011
a stressful and hectic environment during my time here I have had to take a few orders at once keep on top of everything, help out setting up the salad cart and making the desserts as well as sometimes help out cooking the food when we have been short staffed.
Working on the bar I have done mini stock takes and improved my skills on changing barrels when the beer runs out, I have also learnt how to cash up on the bar and do the PDQs.
Working as the waitress I have to keep the cash on me at all times which means I can keep up to a grand orsoonmeata time depending on how busy it is.
Holiday Inn Stonehenge
April 2010 - April 2011
While working in the Holiday Inn I was a barmaid, waitress and did room service when it was needed, working here the way I spoke to and treated the guests is different to how I had to treat the customers in a pub. Some of the guest have been there for a year or so and with the long staying guests you learn how they like things to be done and how to be spoken to and if the regular business men and women who come in for regular meetings again you slowly get to know how they like to be served and treated.
This job has helped me to become more observant and has helped me to become more confident especially with room service when you can have to door answered to you in many different ways.
I have gained some basic skills in cocktail making, and gained some knowledge on different types of wines.
When cashing up the tills I feel more confident as they always seemed to be correct, there was a mistake every now and again when card transactions get mixed up as cash and vis versa but it always equals up at the end of the day, when looking over the PDQ reports as well to help make sure everything is correct.
The Stonehenge School
From May 2010
I worked in Stonehenge School for two weeks as work experience with Salisbury College, in the two weeks my confidence with working in the school has improved, I feel I can run a session with little if any supervision.
I also got the experience of helping out with some of the children with disabilities which I found so rewarding and I found it to be an eye opener when it comes to teaching people with different abilities, this has helped me come to the decision that I want to look into becoming a PE teacher in Secondary Schools and maybe even disabled schools.
January 2009 - April 2010
Working with Sodexo I worked in an Officers Mess as a steward and barmaid, working with Officers I have had to make sure that every thing that I do is perfect, cleaning the brass I had to make sure that there was no smudges and that it shined, when polishing the silver I had to make sure it was all dipped rinsed and cleaned once a week so it didn't look tarnished or dirty.
When laying the table I had to make sure the place mats, cutlery, plates and glasses were in a set place and certain distance away from the edge of the table, I had to have every thing set up and ready for the Officers for a certain time everyday.
When it came to working functions I had to learn how to serve food correctly and how to clear plates away, what glass was used for what wine and how to pour it, sometimes how to even do silver service, this has made me more disciplined than I used to be, it has also improved my waitressing skills, my communication skills.
I had to make sure my appearance was always tip top and perfect.

Interests and Achievements
My main interest is sport and working with children.
