Air Data Unit
The main function of the Air Data Unit (ADU) is to measure the physical characteristics of the air mass which is around the Helicopter. The two main parameters measured by the ADU are temperature and pressure. By using these two parameters, the ADU will calculate many other flight parameters.
The role of the ADU is to calculate Air Data Parameters such as Pressure Altitude and Indicated Airspeed using electrical and pneumatic inputs. ADU is interfaced with other system on ARINC-429.
