Poka Yoke Software Development And Implementation
Poka-yoke is a quality assurance technique developed by Japanese manufacturing engineer Shigeo Shingo. The aim of poka-yoke is to eliminate defects in a product by preventing or correcting mistakes as early as possible. Poka-yoke has been used most frequently in manufacturing environments. Here in project, I was assigned to develop standardised error proofing sheets so as to give instructions to the operators.Next, I have been assigned to set up a Poka Yoke for the leak hole checking in MSIL water pump. Recently, a lot of water pump was sent to the customer without the leak hole. Therefore, to avoid the similar kind of problem in the future, a system is designed to check the leak hole in the pump. The checking of the leak hole must be done within the cycle so as to avoid the increase in the time cycle and reduction in the production. Leak hole is used to create pressure inside the pump to regulate the flow of water. A pin was attached to a hydraulic cylinder which was controlled with the programs. While installing the cup plug it, leak hole testing was done by pushing the pin towards the housing. If the pin gets inserted in the housing then the leak hole is checked otherwise it was shown on the screen that leak hole is not present.
Automated Buffing Machine
A buffing machine is an electrical appliance that is used to clean and maintain the no carpeted floor such as hardwood, marble tiles etc. It consists of vacuum cleaner, a tank, a buffer at lower side,reflector sensor, ultrasonic sensor, Solenoid valve, DC motors. Vacuum is used to remove the dust and buffer is used for mopping. In this buffing machine we have shown automation by using various sensors. This project aims at providing Increased productivity without capital investment or increased labour costs has just to spell Profit.
