I'm an avid learner with over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
I started my career as a call director for HP before moving on to a software development role in Infosys. I have learnt to play multiple roles as and when my job demanded it. I've been a Java developer, a data architect, a UI designer, a tester, a business analyst, a systems analyst, a trainer, a motivational speaker, a team lead, a scrum master, a mentor, a change specialist and a project manager who's contributing to a little business development research on the side.
I'm currently learning Organizational psychology. Primarily because I've noticed some very concerning deep rooted issues within the teams i work with and elsewhere that need to be addressed in order for the Organization to function smoothly. At the end of the day a happy camper
will always be more productive.
I strongly believe in empowering my team to self-manage and believe in the Scrum philosophy of theory Y. I constantly endeavour to motivate them and work on ways to instill self-discipline.
As much as i encourage learning, i also encourage sharing what you've learnt. Knowledge after all is meant to be shared. And there's nothing that pleases me more than watching my team learn from each other.
I'm an experienced project manager with over ten years in software and service delivery; developing, implementing and managing top quality web applications & implementing IT solutions across different domains.
