Delain - Lawyer - Schenectady, NY 12305, USA

Nancy Delain

Schenectady, NY 12305, USA

Summary

I'm a patent attorney practicing in my office in the historic Stockade neighborhood in Schenectady, New York. I concentrate my practice on
-patents
-trademarks
=trade dress
-copyright
-trade secret
-business law
=licensing
=franchising
=contracts
>negotiations
=business formations
=business windup and closing.

I'm always interested in speaking on any or all of these areas.

I spent 20+ years as a technical documentation specialist and a trainer in the software industry, doing mostly freelance work for companies as diverse as GE, 3M, RCA, CSC, NYState, and Rational Software. Technical documentation, however, is not my life's goal, so I started law school in the (phenomenal) Special Part Time Program at New England School of Law in 1999. My job circumstances dictated that I change law schools, so I finished in 2003 at Franklin Pierce Law Center, then the Number Three law school in the nation in Intellectual Property Law.

I got interested in IP law a long time ago; how I became interested in it is one of my favorite life stories.

I welcome InMails and will freely provide my email on request, but I will NOT accept your invitation to connect unless we have had some substantive contact (i.e., unless you and I can actually recommend the other to other people).
