• Tested the DR plan for Restoration of Mission Critical Applications like ERP. This drill was carried out with engagement of the all levels of business functions representatives and senior management. It contributed to the overall business crisis management plan and drills. .

• Major Enhancements of ERP Solution for the HLG Group expansions and ensured alignment to the business diversified growth.

• Established IT Services function in line with ITIL V3 frame work ensuing deliveries back to business / HLG Projects, through IT industry’s best practices.

• Optimized the support matrix aligned with the resources on board in a centralized CMDB (configuration Management Database), which provided complete and reliable review of ICT infrastructure and services utilization for better planning of capacity and availability management.

• Conducted thorough Quality assurance internal assessment to assure compliance with the ever evolving practices (procedures, policies and plans) of the aforementioned enhancements in the department, which always remained to be on greater level of alignment with ISO (20001 & 270001) standards and ITIL & COBIT frameworks.

• Overseeing establishment, development and control of the company’s IT Systems by developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures which are aligned with organizational goals and monitoring their implementation.

• Ensure that the company is served with the most appropriate IT Systems by evaluating current systems and recommending improvements based on the latest technology developments.

• Ensure that the company is provided with the most appropriate information systems by developing an IT strategic plan which considers current concerns and future user requirements.

• Improve effectiveness of IT Systems throughout the company including user productivity by initiating programs designed to measure and improve IT systems performance.

• Ensures that the IT functions and infrastructure throughout the company can support the business by attracting and developing suitably qualified and competent personnel.

• Optimize the use of resources and minimize IT costs by consulting with Corporate and Divisional Managers and IT staff to achieve the benefits available from coordination and integration of systems.

• Ensure that the costs involved in the procurement of all hardware, software and maintenance services are minimized by investigating alternatives and participating in the procurement process.

• Enhanced Groups ICT infrastructure in MENA region covering 5 countries for all the HLG Group companies on a single AD, managed by a highly qualified team of IT Engineers.

• Setup 5 Data centers with (HA & DR) facilities for mission critical business applications, supported by local IT Operations teams.

• Established PMO (Project Management Office) for Business applications / Systems systematic implementation with an emphasis on quality and risk management

• Introduced Standards on ICT Assets, Services and Applications to govern Val IT.
