HARDWARE RELIABILITY ANALYSIS ON FEEDER PROTECTION RELAY.
The Reliability Prediction of the Feeder Protection Relay can be carried out in various ways. In this paper, the hardware reliability study is considered by calculating the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of the system, then finding the potential failure through the DFMEA ( Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). MTBF will is predicted based on reliability of the components used. Feeder protection relays are designed to detect faults in an electrical distribution system. They provide a high degree of flexibility and can coordinate with other protection devices on the system.
