Duties & Resposibilities:
Check specification (Year and revisions) & Drawing (correct revision)
Check welding procedure specification and welder approval.
Validate certificate of calibration (welding equipment & inspection instrument)
Check material and consumable certification

Before, During & After welding:

Correct preparation (Relevant bevel angles, root face, root gap, root radius, land etc.)
Check pre-welding distortion control (Tackling, bridging, jigs, line up clamp, etc)
Correct level & method of pre heat applied prior to tack welding
Pre-heat values (Heating method, location and control method)
In-process distortion control (Sequence or balanced welding)
Consumable control (Specification, size, condition, and any special treatments)
Carry out visual inspection of the welded joint (Including dimensional aspect)
Check and monitor NDT requirement (Method, qualification of operator, execution)
Identify repairs from assessment of visual or NDT reports.
Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) (Heating method and temperature recording system)
Re-inspect with NDT/NDE after PWHT (if applicable)

Assigning as a Welding Inspector (Structure&Piping) in a Jack up Rig at NOBLE REGINA ALLEN

Duties & Resposibilities:
• To carry out Structural & Piping Fit-up & visual inspection as per ITP.
• Preparing Request For Inspection (RFI) for Fit-up, Visual, NDT as per on-site job preparation.
• Review all the NDT reports as per AWS acceptance cateria.
• Prepare weekly Progress status for all Inspection Including NDT.
• Maintain rejection of NDT & take necessary step to rectify or qualify the welder.
• Monitor the welding procedure qualifications (PQR) to development of WPS.
• Witness of all tank Structural/Air test.
• Issue Corrective Action Report (CAR) if any non-compliance with ITP.
• Prepare all the inspection documents to compiled final package for the Project.
• Carry out the punches clearance inspection for delivery of project.
• Familiar with ASME code B31.1.

More than 4.5 years of comprehensive knowledge and hands on experiences in the field of Marine ship building conversion project (FPSO) & drilling vessel as Welding Quality controller. Have undertaken a variety of projects Welding Inspection and duly meeting the project construction specific Quality Requirements, gaining the experience and knowledge in Piping and structural verification of in process inspection, final inspection and welding.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To carry out Steel & Piping material verification as per AWS & ASME code & Standard.
• To carry out Daily Fit-up & Welding Visual inspection (Piping & Structure)
• Follow up any defect rectification of welding.
• Monitoring the welding is going on as per WPS.
• To follow up NDT requirement as per NDT plan. Also monitor PWHT.
• Sketch for any modification on-site (Structure/Piping).
• Prepare Piping Test package, witness for all pressure testing.
• Responsible for any coordination, construction, fabrication, pre-commissioning.
• Attend Weekly production progress meetings held with owner representative.
• Maintain good communication with client, contractor, Sub-contactor & Supplier.
• Maintain all daily inspection record for final documentation.
• Responsible for close all the Punches raise by Owner or Class.
• Prepare WPS as per ASME Sec IX and API 1104 standards.
