Served as Bangladesh Ambassador to Morocco from 2008 to 2010. Increased the volume of trade between Morocco and Bangladesh. Number of university level scholarships for Bangladesh was also increased from fine to ten during this period. With the help of ICT, Casablanca a special book in French language was published to encourage trade and investment with Bangladesh. In the field of culture a painting exhibition of eminent non resident Bangladeshi Painter Khurshid Saleem was held in Berlin. Renowned Film Maker Tanvir Mokammel was also invited to act as Jury in the 2009 Rabat International Film Festival. Above all, negotiated the continued supply of TSP from Morocco to Bangladesh and Morocco's joining of the International Jute Study Group located in Dhaka. Hosted the Annual Gathering of the Asian Ambassadors' Wives Group at Bangladesh House in the presence of the Wife of the Prime Minister of Morocco and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany with concurrent accreditation to Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. Substantially increased the volume of trade between Germany and Bangladesh to approximately 4 billion US dollar. Arranged seven Trade & Investment Seminars in capitals accredited countries. After a gap of 11 years arranged the visit of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to Germany with a return visit of the President of Germany to Bangladesh after a gap of 25 years. Also conducted visits of the Foreign Ministers of both the countries. Arranged 9 different events in celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thakur in 2011. Published in German language two books in observance of 40 years of German Bangladesh Diplomatic Relations and the Life and Work of the Founder of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Helped in increasing the number of university level students. Established Bangla Pathshala in Berlin promoting Bangla language and culture.
