Engineering Manager

As engineering manager I lead my team in development and implementation of strategies for plant acquisition, operations and maintenance. As engineering manager I coordinate the functions of a properly trained and experienced engineering team comprising design engineers, maintenance engineers, project engineers, planning team and others. I enable the team by providing the budget, machinery, equipment and tools for the successful acquisition and care of plant and machinery. I keep my team up to date with current and relevant personal and work related training and development. Through my knowledge and responsibility for legal compliance I institute proper change management and incident investigation in the plant. I oversee the application of engineering standards to ensure effective plant design for efficient energy use, safety and that plant and machinery do not compromise the quality of manufactured goods.
