kinetic energy recovery system in the by cycle.
Basically its working principle involves storing the energy involved with deceleration and using it for acceleration. That is when the bicycle breaks, it release lot of the kinetic energy as heat. The kers tries to store this energy and converts this into power, that can be use to boost the power when needed.
The mechanical KERS has a fly wheel as a energy storage device. That is during the breaking of the bicycle the energy was stored on the flywheel by the mechanically driven drive shaft. From the larger gear to the smaller gear of the flywheel bearing system which in turn increases the speed of the flywheel . and the energy is stored in the form of the rotating motion of the flywheel by the linkage drive shaft.
The transfer of the bicycle kinetic energy to the flywheel kinetic energy reducs the speed of the bicycle and increases the speed of the flywheel. And similarly the transfer of the flywheel kinetic energy to the bicycle kinetic energy reduces the speed of the flywheel and increases the speed of the bicycle .
