Through vocational studies I have gained the following qualifications and skills:

1. QCF Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work completed 13/11/2012 with Qualification/ Accreditation: 501/1284/3.

2. Edexcel BTEC Level 1: Workskills (QCF) completed 06/10/2012 - BTEC Level 1 Award. This enhanced my interpersonal skills and ability to get the job done well by maximising resources.

3. Edexcel BTEC Level 1: Working in a Team completed 06/10/2012 – pass. This developed my team working skills to understand and make the most of team dynamics in the work place.

4. Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership completed 19/05/2010 - National Accreditation: 100/3398/1. Developed my skills in coaching and mentoring and fitness and nutrition.

Through my experience working in wholesale, retail and sports/ recreational environment:

• I have enhanced my natural aptitude to work with and deal with people from all walks of life. My Anglo- Asian background provides me with an excellent grasp of local community issues and I am able to bridge the gap between cultures. I can converse in Urdu and have a good understanding of Punjabi.

• I am flexible and adaptable to change and work well as a proactive member of a team as well as using my own initiative when given the responsibility to achieve key goals in the workplace.

• I am extremely calm under pressure and feel exhilarated when presented with demanding roles.

I am excellent with my hands and so can do practical things very easily in a pragmatic way. I have excellent skills in art and design, and I am creative and innovative and have a portfolio of work. I have a full clean UK driving Licence.

I undertook a placement at the tennis club where I gained valuable experience in coaching groups of people at all levels. I exercised my excellent interpersonal skills and personal impact to maximize effectiveness of the coaching sessions. I demonstrated my ability to be an effective team member in managing concurrent activities as well as assisting in the running of the tennis shop which transpired into a regular weekend job.
