October 2011 - April 2014

Responsibilities: I am responsible for inspection of Pressure Equipments, pipe lines, PSV's. Making sure Equipments comply with Minerals & OSHA act and the PER regulation of 2009.
Issue recommendations for repairs on damaged equipments, issue the required NDT after repairs are complete. Analyze, and interpret the Wall thickness, Dye-Pen, Magnetic Particle, Radiography (RT) results as to whether they are with in the acceptable or rejectable range as per the specific code.
Write comprehensive reports and issue it to my clients when all work is complete.
Review and compile new internal working procedures to improve on our inspection practices.
Responsible for approving all Piping repairs and Vessel repairs.
Draught and compiling shutdown scope.
Co-ordinate the execution of the shutdown scope

Responsibilities: providing a service to Sasol nitro, polyprop, Sasol solvents. Main responsible plants are Hexene and Octene Ensuring the integrity of more than 100 pressure vessels. Shutdown planning, and co-ordination, writing and providing inspection result reports to my clients after conducting risk base inspection, ranging from visual to non destructive inspections.

Main responsibilities: Quality inspection on all mechanical items entering Sasol Synfuels plant. Checking and ensuring the integrity of all Rotating Equipment items that are kept in the stores, and all mechanical items as such. I also ensure the correctness of the technical data attached to an item for the purpose of procurement. I also had to do technical investigations. Identify mechanical spares to be sold or scraped. I also created technical data for all new mechanical equipment which needs to be procured.
